1. Introduction

Welcome to BibleGate. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the BibleGate mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Core Functionality ("Holy Gate")

BibleGate is a productivity and spiritual habit-building tool designed to help users limit distractions.

iOS Users: The App utilizes Apple’s Screen Time API (Family Controls) to intercept selected applications during your scheduled "focus hours."
Android Users: The App relies on your device's native automation tools (such as Samsung Modes and Routines) to manage app accessibility. The App requires you to complete a Bible verse mission to temporarily regain access or to redirect your attention, depending on your device's operating system.

3. User Responsibilities and Device Permissions

To function correctly, BibleGate requires specific device permissions (e.g., Screen Time access on iOS).

You agree to grant the necessary permissions for the App to perform its core functions.
You are solely responsible for configuring your schedule, selecting the target apps, and managing your device's automation settings.
You understand that circumventing the App’s restrictions through system settings or deleting the App is at your own discretion, and BibleGate is not responsible for any "failed" focus sessions resulting from such actions.

4. Privacy and Data Security

Your privacy is our priority. BibleGate operates completely on-device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your app usage history, Screen Time data, or personal schedules to any external servers. For more detailed information, please review our Privacy Policy.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive to provide a seamless experience, we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or 100% effective at blocking applications. Operating system updates (iOS or Android) or manufacturer-specific restrictions may temporarily affect the App’s functionality.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BibleGate and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or productivity resulting from your use of or inability to use the App.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your consent to the updated Terms.
